ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE BELGIUM SOCIETY FOR CELL AND DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY:
The Belgian Society for Cell and Developmental Biology (BSCDB) Board would like to invite you to attend the upcoming BSCDB Autumn meeting on “Cell Adhesion and Communication” which will be held together with the University of Ghent.
The conference will explore the mechanisms of cell-cell interactions in the context of development, disease and the maintenance of adult tissue architecture.
This meeting will also include two special topics:
- to honour the retirement of Frans van Roy, professor of cell biology at the University of Ghent and past board member of the BSCDB, and his contribution to cell biology and to the cell-cell adhesion field in particular
- to award the 2016 BSCDB PhD-Excellence Award.
The local organizers (Kris Vleminckx, Jolanda van Hengel, Geert Berx and Danny Huylebroeck) welcome all of you in “Het Pand” in Ghent on October 13-14, 2016.

The abstract submission deadline is September 16th, 2016.
The registration deadline is September 30th, 2016.
The Dutch Society for Cell Biology (DSCB, founded in 1965) promotes the advance of research in all branches of cell biology and to encourage the interchange of information. The Society organizes and supports meetings and conferences relevant to cell biology.
The Society is run by a committee of unpaid volunteers.
The committee is always interested in hearing from cell biologists who wish to contribute to the Society’s activities.
